Private AI hosting in the EU
“Private AI hosting” is sold as three different things: a rented GPU, remote maintenance of your own server, or a platform that runs the models and everything around them on hardware you control. This page tells them apart and lists what to demand.
Where the building is, and who runs it
One thing many “EU” offers skip: an EU datacentre run by a US-owned operator is still within reach of US law (the CLOUD Act, 2018), which can compel US companies to produce data wherever it is stored. Ask who runs the machines as well as where the building is. The simplest answer is your own servers, in your own datacentre or at an EU service provider you chose.
What hosting private AI has to include
-
Private inference on your GPUs
Open models for chat, coding and embeddings, loaded onto your own GPU servers in minutes. Prompts and completions never leave them.
-
Everything around it
A model endpoint on its own is not a workflow. The platform ships the apps around it too, from development to production, and records every step.
-
Metering and audit
Whoever runs the platform can see which endpoints are up, who uses which model and what each request costs, so they can bill, cap and prove what happened.
-
An exit you can execute
Your models, apps and data stay yours. An exit guarantee, written into the contract.
A rented GPU gives you half of the first item. A model runner installed on a single server gives you the first and none of the rest. Hosting private AI properly means each of the four is somebody’s responsibility: yours, your service provider’s, or both of yours. The platform keeps the record.
Five questions for every offer
- Whose servers does it run on, and who owns redundancy?
- What stands behind the availability figure: a datacentre, backups and people, or a promise?
- Are model updates, monitoring and backups part of the price, or extra?
- Where do prompts, logs and embeddings live, and who can access them?
- If you leave: what do you get in the export, and how fast?
ATAILA’s answers: the platform runs on your servers or your service provider’s, so redundancy is yours to design and ours to support. Every prompt, log and embedding stays on your machines. Model loading, metering and the release path are part of the software; updates and security fixes come from ATAILA in support packages. If you leave, the exit guarantee above applies.
Where ATAILA fits
ATAILA sells no hosting. We are a software vendor: the platform, the migration and third-line support. You host private AI in your own datacentre with ATAILA Enterprise. Or your service provider hosts it for you and for others with ATAILA Service Provider, which adds tenancy and per-tenant usage data for billing. Either way the models, the apps and the data sit on machines you can walk up to.
Priced per CPU socket, not per user or token.
